Recently, in Argentina capital, Buenos Aires, Sinowind China subsidiary Shanghai Xinyuan Qineng Wind Tech has signed electricity purchasing agreement with Argentina national electricity wholesale market management corporation (CAMMESA) for one wind power project in Argentina Chubut province. This wind power project is South America largest wind power project so far, and it will be built by a joint investment from China coordinated by Ms. Tian Lin Zhi.
The signing of this agreement marked that the Sino and Argentina has completed the project business negotiation and will start project implementation and operation initial stage. This is China first joint investment team coordinated by a private company through over four years of joint efforts and starts first project in the process of entering into South America clean energy industry.
It has been reported that the 200 MG Chubut ¡°little angel¡± wind power project has a total investment of 440 million US$. After the project completion, it will supply the clean energy through Argentina state electricity grid to the south region and other areas of this country. The project will be constructed by the end of this year and started electricity supply early in 2017.
Ms. Lin Zhi Tian is Chairman and CEO of Global Equity Corporation (GEC) and its parent corporation GEC Technologies Holdings Ltd., managing the company's international investments in oil and gas, electric power generation, communications and medical technologies. She is chairman and CEO of SINOWIND, a leading international wind power corporation with a wholly owned subsidiary in China. She also serves as Chairman of Global Strategies, Ltd., a Washington DC based government relations and law firm, and is an officer or director of several other corporations.
Ms. Tian serves as advisor to numerous companies in the US, Italy, China, Egypt, Central and South America, Russia and the UK. In this capacity, Ms. Tian does a considerable amount of work with U.S. public and private organizations to help them expand their understanding of China, and to encourage the strengthening of bilateral relations. She also served for the past 15 years as Senior Advisor to the largest US lobbying firm, Patton, Boggs LLP.
Ms. Tian is a board member of the China Business Council for Sustainable Development, the Specially Invited Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Import and Export Council, and an advisor to numerous other organizations which have the objective of strengthening relations between the US and China, and in increasing and improving bilateral economic relations, including the US Committee for Economic Development, the Foundation for International Cooperation and Development, the University of Georgia School of Law.
